Can you add XRF815? xrf815.we0fun.com 69.144.255.148 (unless this can be a domain name in which case xrf.we0fun.com would resolve here) Sponsor WE0FUN Hosted by the Fun Machine Linked Repeater System Description: Bridged to Analog, P25, DMR, YSF, NXDN, Allstar and Echolink USA Adding only XRF reflectors based on dxrfd code. Please see messages in this thread from 2/27/19 - 3/8/19 for discussion.

I replaced XLX113 with XLX001, IP is the same as XLX113 185.203.118.135 So I closed XLX113 which has now become XLX001 Please update your reflector list and then leave it free for other XLX113 users I still have XRF113 which is operational and functional but XLX113 is to be canceled, thanks. The list has not been updated and indicates thumbs down on XLX001 and XLX113. The list has nothing to do with XLX reflectors. Your XRF113 is on the list.

Thank you for quick reply. Would you please teach me how to have XRFxxx number in this situation? I would like you to add my reflector to your list. Thank you in advance. Shin JP7FSO Hi, Even though your reflector can be addressed with an XRF prefix, it is an XLX reflector and is not the type of reflector that is listed in the directory. Please go to the link I mentioned above for all further support. Thanks, John

Since you are planning to connect with other elements, I'm sure you would want to minimize future disruptions. Specifically, because 031 is a low number, it is possible someone will come along and set up an XLX031 without consulting the directory at xrefl. Therefore, I suggest you proactively find out all the different kinds of hot spots or other access points folks in your system use, then get in touch with the respective developers to make sure they include your XRF031. OK, I actually read this thread, and understand that XRF and XLX is part of the XLX software. I am going to be running the DXRFD software, so I still will register my reflector here on a node that is not a conflict. Will this reflector show up on the ircddb based node list when I register with xrefl? Listing on xrefl does not automatically lead to it being on any other list. In the past, host file providers did look at the directory (xrefl) but with most of the activity now with XLX reflectors, I suspect they don't pay too much attention. After you get your reflector running, suggest you go to sites that support different hot spots and ask how to get your reflector listed. forum.pistar.ukforum.sharkrf.comGood luck, John One last thought: If you're not real familiar with reflectors, you might be better off with XLX instead of dxrfd. There's much support on the XLX forum. Not aware of much dxrfd support.

Thanks John! So I thought XRF was for the X reflectors, and XLX was for the XLX reflectors. I thought they were two completely separate things. I didn't know XLX reflectors now use the XRF prefix as well. I went to that website, and everything to show all reflectors, and I only see XLX prefixes, I don't see XRF prefixes. Should I assume all of the XLX numbers could be a conflict? You're welcome. Best to assume any XLX reflector could be using an XRF prefix to avoid conflicts. Because an XLX reflector can use XRF, DCS, or REF prefixes, the use is at the discretion of the reflector admins and all the host file providers.

I am in the process of setting up an XRF using DXRFD. I am looking to pick a number to register my gateway. I am confused why the xrefl.net/ list does not include the list of XRF's on my PiStar hotspot? For example, XRF999 was on the list on my hotspot and it linked up just fine. Is the XRF registry on my hotspot different than the xrefl.net/ registry? For example, I was going to request XRF010 for my node, because it is not showing up on the xrefl.net/ website. However, my hotspot linked up to XRF010, so I assume 010 is not something I can use. xrefl.net now lists only traditional (mostly dxrfd) reflectors and not XLX reflectors. XLX reflectors are often addressed with the XRF prefix. The reasons XLX reflectors are no longer listed in the directory are explained in the first message of this thread. If you want to avoid potential duplications, look both at xrefl.net and the XLX reflectors list, which can be seen on most XLX dashboards, such as here: xlx313.openstd.net/index.php?show=reflectorsHopefully that explains the situation. 73 John K6KD
