The following had been on the Directory but has been commented out because of lack of interest. Thought I would post it here to see if there are any ideas.
----------------------
Discussion Topics
Bob/W6KD and John/K6KD are providing XRF modules and forums for discussions, both D-STAR technical as well as other topics. The purpose is to better utilize the excellent infrastructure provided by X Reflectors as well as provide a venue for amateur radio operators to hold discussions of general interest. The discussions can include everything D-STAR as well as other topics of the day. The same kinds of discussions you hold with family and friends can be held on D-STAR and in the forums.
We believe both discussions on X Reflectors and related forums can complement each other. Initially all discussions can be held on XRF310D and XRF555D. These X Reflector modules are linked, so that linking to either one is equivalent. If traffic and interest warrant dividing the discussion into topics on separate X Reflector modules, that can evolve.
The forums provide threads for discussion topics and also Calendars to schedule times to get together on D-STAR. We anticipate three types of use on the X Reflectors: 1) Specific topics that will be planned and put on the Calendar, 2) A way any participant can indicate a time and topic for a discussion and post to the Calendar, and 3) Ad hoc discussions not planned and not put on the Calendar.
All amateur radio operators are welcome to use the X Reflector modules and the forums.
The following list is intended to suggest categories of discussion topics. It is not intended to limit discussion to these specific areas:
Politics (national and international, international relations)
Guns and Related Sports (general discussion, legal issues, firearm sports, hunting, fishing)
Autos (classic, sports, trucks, 4x4 off-road, modifications, anti-theft devices/services/practices)
Home electronics (alarm systems/services, remote/web monitoring, X10 automation, use of Arduino)
Embedded computing (Arduino, Raspberri pi, basic stamp, wireless linking)
Travel (RV, commercial trucking, commercial & general aviation)
All things money (investing, financial management, budgeting, credit, debt, scams, identity theft)
Emergency communications (sat phones, emergency devices)
Outdoor (hiking, camping, boating, gardening, mobile electronics including GPS)
Food and Drink (cooking, mixology, beers, wines)
Other Hobbies (anything else: photography/video/audio, RC models, arts & crafts, woodworking)
Entertainment (movies, television, home theater, music: genres, artists, by decade, subscription services)
Health and Fitness (exercise, biking, weightlifting, cardio, diet, supplements, preventive, health problems)
Jokes and Stories

Hello John, I listed to a recording of a net the other night. Listing to almost all 2.5 hours, at the end you said that you were on a DVdongle. I was shocked Your audio and signal was excellent. What mike and mixer are you using? I have been using a dongle for 6 years. My audio has never sounded like that. Just got a D74. We are getting 2 dstar repeaters in our area soon. Getting ready to talk on the repeater for the first time. Hope to check into your net soon. Great net! 73 Tim KK4DTT

I was not using a dongle. I think Mike does when using WinDV to keep track of things. Suggest you ask Mike on roundtable.tech You can post in the Shoutbox or start a thread. BTW - Make sure the D-STAR repeaters can connect to X-Reflectors. Have you or the admins ask on the net if you have any questions about that. 73 John K6KD
